Let There Be Light
lately, i've been leaving for work a little early so i haven't had time to take pictures. by the time i get home, well it's nighttime. so this morning, i got the camera out to show you all what's going on around here.
first off, i bought merino roving. from michelle at fun with yarn. it was a visceral purchase based on gut emotion, not at all a cerebral decision. although i like to think that this is not typical of me, i think it should be. so like george costanza, perhaps i should begin doing just the opposite of what i normally would do. see how that works.
isn't it pretty?
even rocky liked it (he sniffed it and then plopped himself right next to it. he is half shepherd. maybe he smelled his flock).
but wait ... that's not all!
guess what this is?
another sock....
(i'm halfway done with the second of the pair)
finally, it feels like spring so much around here, that even my chili pepper plant is confused.
it's flowering! i'm going to have chili peppers soon! i've never grown a real fruit before! ay caramba!!!

The merino looks gorgeous, but I really love the picture with the paws!

Maryse, it was so great to neet you yesterday. Thanks for sharing those great pictures of the girls. I am still laughing at the though of her wearing that scarf to school as her dress.
Hope to see you again soon!

beautiful flowers on those chili plants! i admire your lack of SSS, from which i suffer a deplorable (and uncurable) case.

Oooh! Your chili pepper plant is awesome, and isn't the only one getting suckered in by the freakish weater - we spent all afternoon with the windows open!

At this rate, soon you'll have a respectable sock drawer.

What kind of chili pepper plant is that? I was thinking about growing one but we don't eat a lot of chili peppers so I wasn't sure it was worth it.

We've had a very mild winter here in Charleston so far. I made lots of hats that I cannot wear just yet, and our plants are confused too.
Love the sock. So bright and festive!

So you're spinning that into some yarn for me, right?
Our irises are starting to sprout, which is just ridiculous....their life is ridiculously short as it is, nevermind starting now.
Love the sock.
PS- You were up waaaay too early.

A chili pepper plant? I love it! And the sock. And the fluff. And the pup!
