Injured Reserve

isn't this pretty?  so round.  so perfect. yet simple  single crochet in the round in shiny mercerized cotton. what's not to love?

it's the base of a bag i started crocheting for the store.   i spent most of sunday crocheting this bag while watching the 2nd season of veronica mars.  (is it wrong for me to have the hots for an 18 year old badboy played by a 20 something actor at my age?  because if it's wrong i don't want to be right.)

by the end of the day, i felt a little pain but nothing too serious. 

look at what my hand looked like monday morning!!!  WTF???

in unrelated, injury free, knitting news, the fall issue of knitty came out.  when i glimpsed this project in the main page thumbnail photos, i decided to save it for the very last. 

there are some very nice patterns this time around ....

but OH MY GOD DOES THIS PATTERN NOT HAVE MY FRIGGIN' NAME ALL OVER IT?  i think my heart skipped a beat, i really do.
