Christmas Knitting

i wasn't planning on knitting any christmas gifts this year and then the twins' mother mentioned that what the girls would really like was a knit headband/hat type thingy.  i'm the aunt.  who am i to refuse my nieces.

so i pulled out the panta pattern and made two. (there was an along earlier this year)   it's a quick knit and a great way to use up some stash.

both were made from leftover caron's simply soft in embroidery and paisley prints.

big round boombox heads like mine can't do those types of things, but i bet it'd be supercute on the nieces. at least their ears will stay warm.

Thank you thank you thank you! So many nieces, so little time, but surely I could do a couple of these...

They look great! Fantastic! Your nieces are two lucky girls!

I love that pattern, i made a couple of them, one with my first handspun, as it is a very forgiving pattern. only problem is that i can't seem to hold on to them, they end up being gifted before i realize it.

I spent all weekend looking for this pattern and finally found it and now it's linked here! I couldn't remember what it was called. I think I'm going to make one for my dad. It's masculine enough, right?!

I've been an aunt to twins for 21 years, and I can tell you that aunts are legally obligated to knit for nieces. Otherwise, the knitting police come and haul you away.

These both look fantastic, I have had my eye on this pattern for some time, I think I might try to whip one up for Christmas too.

Cute! I remember this pattern... maybe I need one too. Yours look great, and that Simply Soft is a great acrylic. I have used it before and really like it!

Fun colors. I should try and whip out a few of those for holiday gifts.

I'm sure they will be thrilled. I especially like the top one.

Those are really cute! Hmm, maybe I need a panta...

Mmmm. That's one I just might do for myself. Lucky nieces!

So cute & bright! I wish I could wear one - from my experiences as a child with headbands, I know if I put it on it would just pop right off!

I think I have a pointy head.....

Very fun colors! I can't figure out from the picture how they work though - about how long are they? Which side is up?

I love that panta thing, I so wish I could pull it off. If only I had an oval face.
