Happy Birthday to Me!!!!!!
yep, it's today... and look ... i'm not even maudlin...
allow me to introduce you to the little girl i once was....
the shy, coy me .... wouldn't you be if you were photographed in your underwear ... !!
the chatty me ... on the phone with brazil or london ... (locks had to eventually be put on the phone because i used to randomly dial people all over the world -- a game i later adapted and called "drink and dial.")
the serious, world traveling me channeling melissa gilbert as "half pint" -- this is one of my earlier passport pictures.
the child star me -- on the cusp of a career in the entertainment industry (raise your hand if you have a picture just like this one at home).
the grumpy me ... grumpy .... hey do you see what i see? could it be??? were we separated at birth?
time sure goes by fast .... sigh

My sister did it pretend: she would dial, and dial and dial, stop and listen, and say, "Hello? China?" The first time she did that my mother almost keeled over. She was about four.

I wore a tutu as a child though accompanied by ballet shoes and hair tied tightly into a bun. The photos are cute!

I never took dance lessons (or any lessons except saxophone lessons) so I can honestly say I do not have any pictures like that one above. However - it is fabulous.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Love the photo-retrospective, very fun. The red-heart visor w/ matching tap shoes really is a look that needs a revival.
Yes, I have to raise my hand 2x for the child star photo...one was a bear (teddy bears' picnic) and one was an "orphan" (Annie - It's a hard knock life)...Oh the memories!
