Things I Like Monday
i haven't written a "things i like" monday post in quite some time, but this weekend was a good one so here goes. my list of things i like ...
1. the weather we've been having. while the rest of the country is broiling or under water, here in new england the weather has been awesome. the sky a gorgeous blue, with puffy white clouds. the humidity non-existent. the sun, wonderfully warm. the temperature highs in the low to mid-70s. just a small taste of fall.
2. spending a wonderful saturday at the fiber revival at the spencer pierce little farm. what a beautiful place. and what great weather we had (except that the wind was a little fierce).
3. sharing the ride to the revival and a dyeing class with ben. oh and doing a little yarn shopping after the revival in newburyport at a shop called "loom with a view." (sorry, no web presence)
4. hanging out with all of my fiber loving buddies. melanie was there, and kellee and baby b, and stitchy, and adrian, and marcy, and mamacate, and laurie and jess and maya and monica and baby lily, and kate and tadpole, and .....
5. waving to danielle across the yard, having her do the same, only then to realize that she and i had never really met in person before, but somehow it didn't seem to matter. having ms. mafia come running up to me and hugging me like we'd known each other for years when really we were meeting right then for the first time.
(and of course having her save me from being EATEN ALIVE BY A GIANT SCARY BUG!!!).
6. cute alpacas
it was a good, fun, exhausting day. want to see more pictures? here are mine, adrian's, and cheryl's.

*sigh* I like the things you like.

I swear I commented on this post earlier in the week...
Anyway... it sounds like you had a fantastic time! Love the alpaca... I want to scratch his cute head!

Sounds like a great time! Nothing like a buddy saving you from a bug, no? I never realized alpacas had such eyelashes! That what it is that makes them so darned cute! Loom With A View, how cool!

Low to mid 70s? Alright, I'm moving. ;)
Glad you had a nice time, I wish I was there! New England seems like the hotspot for all the fiber related events. Maybe because no one wants to have an outdoor fiber event in NM this time of year...

I'd be envious of your group (and I really am) if I didn't have mine. You always have such a great time together!

Oh come now, we've been working toward that hug for quite some time. ;-) Now you can tell the Mr. that while you were "hanging out with your lover," you got squeezed by a real live lesbian. Then stand back and watch his mind twist into a pretzel.

Hi! (Waving virtually, now!) Glad we met. I took some spinning classes, which were great, but I wish I had more time to hang out with everyone.

Hey, I was there too - I say we definitely need "blogtags" at these eventsj so we know who everyone is! It was a beautiful day (aside from the wind) and great fun.

The PineStarStudio link brings me to a page with links that don't work. Damn! I was SO needing supplies.

The weather's been great. (58 this morning!!!)
This looks like such a fun event. And everyone I read seems to have been there, too. The dye class looks like fun.

That Alpaca is to much! What a perfect day for such an event. Makes me a little sad that I did not make the venture. Oh well - my tub is shiny. Some how that's not really making me feel better at the moment. :)
