Transformation

one of the things i like best about spinning is watching a big pile of prepared wool  ...

get transformed through spinning ....

into yarn ....

that i then knit up ...

branching out from knitty

into a lacy scarf.  i still need to block.

the wool is coopworth sliver in nightshade by spunky eclectic.  it's a gorgeous mix of dark grays, rust, burgundy and lavender.

the scarf pattern is branching out from knitty.

That's great! I cannot wait to see it blocked.

LOVELY.

That niddy noddy photo- damn.

That _is_ just amazing. I have no earthly desire to spin (I'm kind of amazed at my lack of desire, honestly) but I'm always completely impressed when someone can take those big fluffy piles of wool and turn it into pretty, shiny yarn, and then turn that yarn into a knitted thing. It's a little wool miracle!

Wow...you've been busy...that's beautiful!

I just sighed aloud at how beautiful that is. Wow.

It is beautiful! I really like your choice of the dark yarn for Branching Out. It is great to see the full transformation from roving to FO. Great post!

Wow, that is beautiful, start to finish. Excellent

Beautiful!

looks yummy!

Ooooo, that is lovely! Looking forward to the blocked version.

That is SO COOL. There's something about knitting lace with handspun that is SO satisfying, isn't there? yay!

That fiber looks great spun up and a lovely scarf.

it's amazingly pretty. i love it.

groovy :)

Your spinning is EXCELLENT, Maryse! I love the lacy scarf, too, and I can't wait to see it when it's blocked. :)

xo

It's gorgeous. Can't wait to see it all blocked out. Such great colors.

C'est mervielleux! And then some! Great job!

Beautiful!
It really must be rewarding to go from the spinning, to the knitting, to the final product.

From sheep to scarf! Very very beautiful! You have great taste:)

Wow, that looks FABULOUS. :-)

I Navajo-plied mine this weekend. Not bad, but not as pretty as your singles.

Absolutely Fabulous!!

Oh, it's yarn and spinning prOn. Love!

Absolutely lovely as always.

Wow. What a good decision to use that as a single. The colors are striking.

Lovely. I just want to dive right in!

Beautiful! I can't wait to see it blocked. Your spinning has come a long way fast!

purdy, very purdy! can't wait to see the blocked scarf.

ohhh... pretty! I haven't spun in months. I miss it...

That is some gorgeous roving-yarn-lace. I love how well you've captured the colors -- it seems alive.

Look at you! Go, Maryse!

Gorgeous!
