Transformation
one of the things i like best about spinning is watching a big pile of prepared wool ...
get transformed through spinning ....
into yarn ....
that i then knit up ...
into a lacy scarf. i still need to block.
the wool is coopworth sliver in nightshade by spunky eclectic. it's a gorgeous mix of dark grays, rust, burgundy and lavender.
the scarf pattern is branching out from knitty.

That's great! I cannot wait to see it blocked.

That _is_ just amazing. I have no earthly desire to spin (I'm kind of amazed at my lack of desire, honestly) but I'm always completely impressed when someone can take those big fluffy piles of wool and turn it into pretty, shiny yarn, and then turn that yarn into a knitted thing. It's a little wool miracle!

It is beautiful! I really like your choice of the dark yarn for Branching Out. It is great to see the full transformation from roving to FO. Great post!

That is SO COOL. There's something about knitting lace with handspun that is SO satisfying, isn't there? yay!

Beautiful!
It really must be rewarding to go from the spinning, to the knitting, to the final product.
