Friday!

this week was really long and i'm pooped.  i'm so glad it's friday.   can i go home now?  (and yes, i'm blogging from work.  SUE ME!)

1.  so you want to see what the reknit, recently frogged sock looks like?  check it out!

crazy, isn't it?  i really like it.  and what you can't tell in this photo is that there are slight variations in the color bands, especially noticeable in the brown sections.  no clue,  if the other skein is going to do the same though.  i've become a settled, boring, suburban person.  this is my "living on the edge."

2.  school is kicking my butt.  not the material (thank god) but having to sit for 5 hours every wednesday night.  three hours of lecture, 2 hours of lab every week is going to get old fast.  i have my first exam coming up.  guess what i'm doing this weekend.

3.  yesterday i had a celebrity sighting.  well a political celebrity sighting anyway.  remember this guy?   well, i walked right by him yesterday on  my way to the T.  we made eye contact and he smiled at me.  he must have recognized me as a good loyal bleeding heart communist i mean liberal.   of course i smiled back.  how could i not.  he looks a lot like my dad. 

4.  it's gotten to a point where i'm afraid to go home, not knowing what kind of destruction has occurred at my house.  he's now reinforcing some beams in the basement.  i have no idea how he's doing that although it required turning off of the water this morning.  no idea how the two are related.  in any event, i do know that when i come home, nothing will be where it's supposed to be.
