You crack me up! A member of my family has a very bad habit of "planting one" and walking away just be fore the stench takes hold leaving people thinking it was who ever was standing there with the embarrassment that everyone thinks * they* did it.
I'm so glad that thought doesn't usually pop into my head on the subway, I'm not sure how I would look grinning and giggling like an idiot in the mornings :)
omg. I was on metro once and someone let one loose right before getting off. It was awful! Everybody just stood around holding their noses and laughing! And the expression of those just getting on? Priceless.
Damn I love you! You are the best answer to a grey day, I'm still cracking up!

In a related note, why is it that after you fart in your own cube, visitors suddenly materialize?

I always pray that the people standing up don't fart, too.

Totally.
You're hilarious!

I'm sure the other riders are praying too.

amen to that. Also, when I'm seated and somebody has their butt dangerously close to my face - I pray they don't fart.
