Not My Birthday ...
and yet, i got presents.
i love presents.
first, from cathy, i received this gorgeous sock and enough yarn to make myself it's mate.
i'm a little afraid.
and this awesome cube/pouch thing that she makes. you can buy yourself one at her etsy shop here.
thank you cathy!!!
and then from amy i received 8 oz of BFL in her Grand Opening 2007 colors, a prize she donated to stitchy's blogger bingo drawing ... which i won. yay me. thanks stitchy and amy!
i love it when my blog posts are color coordinated.
ETA: I've gotten a few requests for the pattern to the honeybee sock above. cathy's provided all of the info in her flickr photo of the same sock here.
by the way, i used to think "ETA" only meant "estimated time of arrival" so i couldn't figure out why bloggers kept using it.

That sock is so stunning -- really, really beautiful. Can't wait to see a matched set!

The kind folks at the Television Without Pity boards taught me what ETA means ....
and I'm deeply in love with that orange sock.

I LOVE my Schrodinger Cube. I think that you will, too.

It took me a while to figure out what ETA meant in that context too. That sock is soo pretty. Look at all of those crisp stitches!

Hi! It was good to meet you on Saturday. Thanks for giving me yet another purpose for duct tape.
That sock is freaking fabulous. If you get a chance, can you let me know what yarn/colorway that is? Me thinks I need some. It's orange, but not the keep-you-safe-from-being-shot-in-the-woods orange.

Holy moly Maryse, you are one lucky lady today. That sock is gorgeous, but that fiber is turning me green.
Sure does make a Monday better, huh?

Wow, that sock is beautiful! I love it, seriously! (What size are your feet, because I might steal them...) And the bag is really cute too.

HAH Edited to add. I just figured that out, with you mentioning it. Yes, I am a big fat dork.
But you got yourself one *fabulous* sock there!

Can't wait to see the fiber spun up!!

Beautiful sock!

A very merry un-birthday to you! That sock rocks :) and I love how both gifts coordinate so well.

I'm so impressed with the colour coordination - I wish I could say I planned it that way. So glad you got the sock and it fits. Don't be intimidated by the pattern, it looks more scary than it actually is.

very nice coordination indeed :)
That sock is super.

hey, happy non-birthday. beautiful post. that sock is gorgeous and the pouch is awfully cute, too. (the link to her etsy shop doesn't seem to be working.)

Oh Maryse, I'm so glad you got a great sock!! I admired that one from the Flickr pool. I like anything that Schrodinger makes. :-)

That sock was for you?! I admired it from the group photo pool for the swap. Gorgeous!!! Lucky you!

The Spunky fiber is awesome. You lucky devil, you!
And the sock--holy moley, that's a fancy pattern (and completely unfamiliar to me--please tell, what is it?) Those teeny bobbles are adorable. :-)

Unbelievably beautiful! What's the deal with the one sock? Is this some sort of swap thingy or just a creative gift? That is one gorgeous sock!!!!
