Googlies for Everyone

ok, so it's day 4 and i'm already stuck.  not so much for content -- i've had a fun weekend so far -- but for words.  because i'm not so good with words.  or rather, i'm not as good with words as many of you are.  well, words on a page.  for some reason i have no trouble TALKING.  i can talk and talk and talk and talk....  maybe i should post recordings of me talking.  heh heh.

anyway, friday night i spent a wonderful evening hanging around with tomoko of tadworks.  you know, the creator of po?  every few weeks, we hang out for hours at a wonderful cafe/restaurant/pastry shop and we laugh and talk and admire and sample the pastries.

mmmm fruit tart.

and we get very silly.  tomoko is good for the sillies.

Dipping My Toe

Hey thanks for the blog birthday congratulations.  The blog was touched and thanks you all. 

so anyway, i've been thinking.  when i was in school, after 4 years, i usually got some sort of diploma and then moved on.  so i was wondering what i should do after 4 years of blogging?  quit blogging?  no, i'm not ready for that yet. 

blog more? 

maybe.

so, you blog 365 types, is it ok for me to start in the middle of the year like this?  do i want to do this?  do i have enough going on in my life to warrant a post every day?  do i have too much going on in my life to dedicate the time it takes to write a post? 

let me think about it.

Saturday Sky on a Sunday

the weather yesterday was just nutty.  during the pre-dawn hours we had some thunder and during the day it went from sunny and warm (75 degrees people!) to cloudy back to sunny finishing off with a big ass thunderstorm.

the sky changed from sunny and clear to ominous in a matter of minutes, giving me just enough time to get a few shots.

very wizard of oz, you know, minus the witch and the flying monkeys.

Earth, Wind, Fire

a few days late, but that's ok, since i'm setting the rules here.  the project spectrum months of february and march were busy ones for me.  in those two months i managed to knit 3 scarves, 1 cowl, 2 pairs of socks, 1 hat and spin some fire-y colored fiber.

since my last update, i finished a pair of monkey socks.

i made a few modifications such as adding extra stitches to accommodate my giant peds, and changing the heel and toe.  details are raveled.

then because i had some fire-y colored colinette point 5 in the stash and i hadn't knit anything in pink, i whipped up  two  quickie projects:  a simple garter stitch scarf out of point 5 in berry. 

and a cowl out of point 5 in cezanne.   is it cheating knitting on size 17  needles?  because it certainly feels like it.

the next element is earth with greens, browns and metallics.
