Eye Candy Friday -- More from NHSW

there seems to have been a bit of a misunderstanding about my last blog post.  my fault really for not being clearer.  anyway, it's not the daily blogging that's leaving me uninspired and bleh.  it's bigger than all that but since i don't want this blog to get all maudlin and navel-gazey (although making up of words on the other hand is ok) i was purposefully vague. so yeah, when i ask "how do you all do it" i'm thinking bigger than this.  thanks for the pep talk though.

so i took carole's advice and today i'm blogging from work.   BITE ME IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT!!! 

heh heh.

anyway, i too went to see the ladies compete in this year's Fleece to Shawl.  don't let cheryl fool you though.  the competition was fierce with all of the cute and i have to admit that i gave my people's choice vote to one of the other teams.  I KNOW!!  WHAT KIND OF FRIEND AM I?!!  but they were really cute. 

as were the gogh goghs.

but it wasn't only about looking fancy while wearing your pajamas in public.   it was also about working hard.

first there was the carding of the fleece.

then there was the spinning of singles.

followed by plying and then winding the plied yarn onto loom bobbins (or whatever the hell they're called).

then finally the weaving itself.

if a team out there needs a crocheter for next year, give me a call.  (or maybe not).
