my "garden" seems to be thriving. well, nothing's dead yet anyway. but nothing is close to being ready to harvest. so last sunday, after doing some shopping at the grafton flea market, stitchy and i stopped at dick kelley's farm stand to see what they had to offer.
i ended up coming home with some fresh peas (in a pod!) and spinach and iceberg lettuce (who knew iceberg tasted so good!) and radishes, all grown on the farm.
i also bought strawberries (from the farm) and cherries (don't know where they came from, but they were too yummy looking to pass up).
i haven't been eating well lately so it was good to at least make an effort to try and mix it up a bit with the fruits and veggies. my goal for the week is to finish everything i bought without it becoming mush in the fridge (j doesn't eat vegetables or many fruits, so it's all me). and what i need to do next sunday is buy something that i've never tasted.

day 68 -- who knew fresh peas, barely cooked, were so freakin' good?!
