I'm Huntin' Wabbits
first thing most mornings, after i've poured myself a cup of coffee, i go check my tomatoes. this morning was no different.
but when i went to open the door, through the window, i saw this tiny little baby bunny munching on dandelions.
i opened the door as quietly as i could, sure he would bolt as soon as he saw me, and instead of running off, he crouched down in the grass and sat perfectly still.
and the whole time i was out there, he didn't move a muscle. after a couple of minutes, i went back into the house, and watched him run to safety.
**************************
day 90 -- sure i fell in love with the tiny bunny, but if he touches the tomatoes, his name is "stew."

Awwwww, the bunny! Here's hoping he stays AWAY from the tomatoes.

Ohhhhh, sooooo cuuuuuute! But yeah, if he touches the tomato, I don't blame you. I'd be right there with ya. I love it that they love dandelions, though.

bc of my dogs, bunnies at my house are called, "toys". God help one of those cute bunnies if they get them! Your tomatoes are looking great.

Oh, you would NOT hurt that little bunny! No way! He's so, so sweet. Bunnies don't eat tomatoes anyway, I'm sure of it. Cardinals, on the other hand...I have one who perches on the fence above my tomato plants and I watch him from the kitchen window, he'd better not get any closer!

Stu is a good name for a bunny. ;)

Oh my goodness. We found itty bitty baby bunnies in our backyard as well. I will have to write up that story. None of my pictures are anywhere close to decent let alone as magnificent as yours! As always, amazing photography :-)

Awwww... he's very cute. Also, rabbit stew is delicious.

Awwwwww... look how cute he is!! We called our roommate's rabbit Hasenpfeffer when she wasn't listening. I still think it's a great name for a rabbit! ;-)
We had a little neighborhood bunny for a while, but I'm afraid living in an urban environment with a busy street didn't bode well for him.

I have a bunny family, too, and they have been coming UP on the deck and eating my tomato leaves. Cute little fuckers.

Dude- those leaves in the second photo to the right of little bunny frou-frou are suspiciously tomato like! Beware my friend. I see the makings of stew in your future.
I have several wee bunnies in my yard. I accidentally snared one in the deer netting I put up - he finally managed to free himself with a little help. I figured the Mrs. MacGregor experience would have cured him of my yard- but no...... he's baacckk!
Those tomatoes look wonderful!

Ah, Stewart Little. You wouldn't dare ...

Cute bunny. Glad he's at your house and not mine. But then, I have a passel here too. Breeding 'em like....yeah.
