Monthlies

man i'm getting old.  a sure sign of that is how fast time is passing me by even when i'm doing less than pleasant things like going to my job.  the job has been wearing me out too.  HELLO, WE BASICALLY FOLLOW AN ACADEMIC CALENDAR.  WHY THE HELL ARE WE SO BUSY RIGHT NOW?  WHY? I WAS PLANNING ON TAKING IT EASY A LITTLE.

anyway, we've been sweating asses off here in new england.  usually we have one heatwave -- 3 days of 90+ temperatures.  this year it feels like we've had nothing but 90+ temps.   and i just can't bear it.  i hate it.  i need a vacation.  good thing it's coming. the vacation.

but i've been busy with crafty stuff too.  last i posted, i was working on my first little quilt.  and yeah i'm still working on it.  or rather i haven't finished it yet.  but soon.  because i want to start my next one.

and the Tour de Fleece just ended.  this year i joined with a simple little goal.  i just wanted to get back into the habit of spinning so my goal was to spend at a minimum 15 minutes spinning a day.  and except for one day when i just didn't manage to get any spinning done, i succeeded.  No huge amounts of new yarn, but like i said, that wasn't the point.  i'm still spinning too.

i did some other stuff too, but why don't i save that for another post.
